other work

Amongst other works Kate has been doing is to write music for film and theatre. She recently covered ´The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face´by Ewan McCall for a critically acclaimed Icelandic production of Romeo and Juliet. The production, first premiered in Iceland in 2002, took the London theatre scene by storm in autumn 2003 when it opened at The Young Vic Theatre, and then again in the West End in 2004. Kate did two versions of the famous song for the two London runs of the show. She produced one version herself along with the producer Eberg, but the other version was produced by Marius De Vries. Kate's versions are not to be released commercially, but a CD soundtrack which includes the latter version exists available on the theatre company's website. You can hear the version here below...

Kate has been signed up to write the film score the upcoming film ´Glow´written and directed by Yugoslavian director, Dusan Tolmac. The film is in pre-production now, but is due to start filming in the autumn in London. The full cast list for the film has yet to be confirmed but there are some rumors of big names being attached to the project. This will be director Dusan's first feature film film, but his previous works include shorts, commercials and video/shorts for swedish singer Stina Nordenstam.

Here is a little sample of Kate's composition for film...
